The BHSN Outpatient Clinic is now offering Open Access hours for new, non-established clients to BHSN and crisis services. Open Access is walk-in availability for mental health evaluation appointments. Those looking to use Open Access Hours are not required to have an appointment – you can simply walk into the outpatient clinic and be assessed. At the time of walk-in, you can expect to complete initial paperwork and an initial assessment with one of our licensed clinicians. Immediately following this initial assessment, the client will be partnered with a clinician based on their needs and preferences. A follow-up appointment with the clients partnered clinician will also be scheduled to continue treatment and manage goals. Clients will be seen on a first come, first serve basis for non-crisis requests for services.
Open Access Hours of Operation:
- Monday – Friday: 8:30am to 2:30pm
Open Access Crisis Services Hours of Operation:
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00am to 6:00pm

School-Based Mental Health Services (SBMHS) are mental health service provider programs licensed by the NYS Office of Mental Health, which operates on-site within a school facility. A School-Based clinic operates in the school setting at minimum one day per week and can be based on the level of need of the student population. Students who are referred to the satellite clinic for services will, with parent or guardian permission, receive an initial assessment by a NYS licensed mental health professional to determine if the child is experiencing a mental health condition that warrants further services. If services are needed and consented to, a student can receive clinical services on-site at the school. Psychiatric and medication services, if appropriate, are available to students off-site, at our clinic’s main office in Morrisonville.
The PROS Learning Center is a complete recovery program that brings rehabilitation, support and clinic services together into one plan that supports participants’ ambitions and hopes. PROS services are broken down into four categories of services with the Individualized Recovery Plan keeping everyone working in the same direction – helping an individual obtain a desired life role.
BHSN Crisis Services provide 24-hour outreach support and intervention to seriously mentally ill adults who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Alternatives to hospitalization are explored and linkages arranged where appropriate. This service is frequently effective in providing individuals, who may not be able to utilize office based services, with the interventions and support which make hospital care unnecessary. This program is highly effective at reducing psychiatric hospitalizations by connecting individuals with needed community outpatient services and resources.
