The Center for Recovery at Behavioral Health Services North has two locations, one in Warren County and one in Washington County. The Center for Recovery offers recovery services that provide an array of outpatient assistance including evaluations for substance use disorders, individual and family counseling, group therapy, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).  Our staff works closely with clients and their families to provide a fully integrated approach that includes psychiatrists, registered nurses, social workers, and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors (CASAC’s).

Intensive outpatient treatment is available by arrangement according to clinical needs, up to five days per week (once we can bring groups back into our larger space).  The population served includes adolescents, adults (through all stages of life), pregnant women, and families.

Treatment(s):

Alcoholism:

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with minimal social support, low motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these individuals, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Dual Diagnosis:

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person’s mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid Addiction:

Opioid rehabilitation specializes in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. We treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. The Center for Recovery typically combines both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance Abuse:

Substance rehabilitation focuses on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs:

  • Adolescence program
  • Adult program
  • Hearing impaired program
  • Program for men
  • Program for women

Levels of care:

Outpatient:

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking rehabilitation, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the client will spend at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point; it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Clinical services:

Group Therapy:

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
