The following is a brief summary of the benefit programs available to BHSN employees, and is intended to provide a general outline only.

Retirement Savings Plan
Traditional and Roth 401(k) options are offered. Vesting for full-time staff occurs after 4 years.
Health Insurance

Three individual and family health insurance coverage options are offered for employees working 30+ hours per week.

Vision Insurance
A comprehensive vision plan is available for individuals and families for all benefit-eligible hires.
Dental Insurance

Two individual and family dental insurance coverage options are offered for employees working 30+ hours per week.

Flexible Spending Plan
Pre-tax payment/reimbursement of out-of-pocket healthcare and dependent care expenses for all benefit-eligible hires.
Life Insurance
Employer-sponsored life insurance policy is provided for all benefit-eligible hires. Additional life insurance policies are available for purchase through payroll deductions.
Short-Term Disability
A policy to help replace a portion of income for staff who become disabled due to a non-work related illness or injury.
Employee Assistance Program
Confidential, short-term counseling services offered for employees, spouse and dependent children at no cost to staff members.
Tuition Assistance
Full-time staff are eligible for tuition assistance through BHSN after one year of service.
Loan Forgiveness
BHSN is an eligible employer for staff who wish to apply for various levels of loan forgiveness and/or deferment by exchanging years of service at BHSN in order to receive the benefit.
Chamber of Commerce Employee Discount Program
Discount and savings program offered to employees from a wide variety of Plattsburgh area merchants, vendors and providers.
Time Accruals
